Primary Years Learning Support Teacher and Mathematics Teachers (IBMYP & IBDP)

Westwood International School is a R-13 school, fully accredited by the Council of International Schools, the New England Association of School and Colleges and the International Baccalaureate Organisation.  As such, it caters for the needs of the internationally mobile and internationally-minded community in Botswana.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes run by the school are student-centred and inquiry-based and require specific pedagogical methodology and training.  The school also offers the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

All positions advertised by the school require applicants with understanding of inquiry-based pedagogical delivery and preferably knowledge and experience of the IBPYP, IBMYP, IBDP and/or IGCSE programmes.  Key competencies required: passion for teaching and learning, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, flexibility, open-mindedness and initiative.

PRIMARY YEARS LEARNING SUPPORT TEACHER
Candidates are sought who have qualifications and experience in providing Learning Support. The successful applicant will work closely with class and subject teachers to assist them to meet the needs of students who need specific learning support or accommodations in order to be successful in mainstream classrooms.  Candidates with experience in offering learning support through the collaborative/ consultative model will be preferred. 

MATHEMATICS TEACHER (IBMYP AND IBDP)
The successful applicant will teach mathematics to students in the IB MYP, IGCSE (including coursework) and IB DP.  Previous experience in these programmes will be an added advantage, and candidates should have at least two (2) years teaching experience.  Applicants without teaching experience will not be considered.
