Westwood International School Council

Westwood International School is a non-profit company limited by guarantee incorporated in the Republic of Botswana, approved and registered by the Botswana Ministry of Education.

The School Council is elected by two classes of members: Founder Members and Parent Members.

Founder Members are those who at the foundation of the school, or subsequently, gave a Financial Guarantee to underwrite the school.

Parent Members are the parents or legal guardians of enrolled pupils.

Founder Members and Parent Members each elect a total of four members to School Council, two each year.  School Councillors serve two year terms.

In addition to Founder Members and Parent Members separately, the British High Commissioner and the United States Ambassador each have the right to appoint a representative to the School Council as does the Botswana Ministry of Education.

The Director of the school is an ex-officio member of School Council.
