Welcome to Westwood International School, Botswana

At Westwood International School we are proud to be part of Botswana, one of Africa’s great success stories.  We are also proud of our school, a school that provides students with a quality international education that enables them to confidently meet future challenges as socially-responsible, life-long learners.

Life long learning is the focus of our endeavours. At Westwood International School we want to increasingly challenge and empower our students to make a difference. We want to ground the education we offer in authentic experience so that students can make meaning of the world and their place in it.

Westwood International School is undergoing re-accreditation with the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) during 2008-2009, as well as re-accreditation with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB Diploma).

Westwood currently offers the International General Certificate of School Education (IGCSE), but this will be phased out during the next few years in favour of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP).
