Students Activities & School Sport

Westwood International School runs a comprehensive Activities Programme five days per week during term after the conclusion of classes. The Activities Coordinator consults both students and teachers to help determine which Activities run.

Examples of Activities that have been on offer at the school include gymnastics, ballroom dancing, guitar, voice, percussion, computer club, developmental swimming, drama, computer club, board games, volleyball, model UN, circuit training, calligraphy, creative sewing, Hands Across Africa, aerobics, modern dance, monkeynastix, yoga, film club, taekwondo, cycling.

Westwood International School also offers a comprehensive competitive sports programme which sees students participating against local and regional schools in swimming, athletics, soccer, netball, tennis, cricket, basketball, softball, rugby, cross country and chess.  In recent years WIS cricket teams have competed in Britain and Australia.
